Upon entering Zlaten Rozhen, one is embraced by the rich heritage of this idyllic spot. As a digital nomad passionate about Balkan gems, I was enthralled by the winery's 4000 m2 estate, where each sip tells the story of the village of Kapatovo. The tavern, boasting a picturesque view of the Melnik Pyramids, invited us to indulge in Bulgarian traditions. My culinary journey began with an omlette, a simple yet satisfying morning treat. However, it was dinner that truly captured my senses. The chef masterfully prepared dishes using ingredients from the winery's 800-decare vine plot, culminating in a symphony of flavors. Quality wines, cultivated with care, complemented each course, a nod to the essence of the region. This gastronomic experience, alongside the warm ambiance, left me longing for another taste of Zlaten Rozhen's delights.
